CooltUrban – CoolKicks – Don’t forget your passions

Hola guys!

It’s been a really long time since I’ve written on the blog.

I would like to share with you a wonderful experience that I’ve lived this past weekend in Romania, Cluj-Napoca, the city where I was born and where I grew.

Some months ago, a dear friend of mine, and school coleague, Valentin Zaharia (Pacepa) wrote me and told me about this great idea he had: organizing this event that involved his main activity http://www.ghettochic.ro/ . It was all about sneakers, colours, creation, music and friendship. It has really been a pleasure for me seeing so many young boys and girls involved in such a clean and glowing activity and atmosphere.

Everything was perfect. The event took place in Central Park in Cluj, starting with a great party on the tram organized by the guys from https://www.facebook.com/events/216568998695424/ CooltUrban.

And now, getting back to me :), I was given a wonderful pair of white AF1 Nike to paint on from the super super extraordinary guys from http://sneakerindustry.ro/ | fb.com/sneakerindustry/ | insta: @ sneakerindustry

I had some time before getting to Cluj to decide what to paint. I thought that this year were 100 years since the ‘Dada’ movement started in 1916 in Switzerland, and had seen as its founder the Romanian Tristan Tzara. Everything was non-conventional, as a response to the First World War. Many writers, painters, many many names such as Marcel Duchamp, Pablo Picasso, Marcel Iancu were members and creators of the dadaism.

I have always loved colours. Always 🙂 that’s why I took my inspiration from a Joan Miro painting, ‘Ciphers and Constellations, In Love with a Woman’ -1941.

Everything seems not connected as a first look. But then, when you give it a second look everything seems exactly at its place in a perfect geometry and order. As the ancient greeks considered the ‘Cosmo’ as perfection this painting brings us that silence of shapes and colours that almost take us to another world.

I really want to thank again all the persons that believed in me and gave me this opportunity, with the hope that this was just the start and the first time of a long future together.
